BYOB
BYOB
BYOB. And yes, we mean Bring Your Own Bowl.
We’re taking EAT on the road and pedaling our way through the Cape with bowls in tow and absolutely no promise of taking the most direct route.
Follow along as we hit local breweries, vineyards, distilleries, beaches, birding spots, hidden gems, and anywhere else that gives us a good reason to get off the bike.
It’s part local love, part food adventure, part excuse to explore and proof that a really good bowl tastes even better with a view.
Grab a bowl. Hop on a bike. Explore the Cape.
Street Foods
Food tells the story of who we are, where we’ve been, and how we’ve come together. As recipes cross borders and cultures, they evolve—blending traditions, ingredients, and generations along the way.
Street food is one of the greatest expressions of that exchange. Born in markets, neighborhoods, roadside stands, and city streets around the world, it reflects history, immigration, necessity, celebration, and everyday life. A single dish can carry influences from multiple cultures and generations.
At EAT, our Street Foods celebrate that constantly evolving story—because when cultures meet, food changes, traditions are shared, and something new is created.

Meet The Creators
Meet Liz Franco - Founder & GM
EAT grew from Liz’s love of food, travel, and the way a great meal can connect you to a place and its culture. After living abroad in South America and experiencing new flavors, traditions, and communities firsthand, she brought that curiosity home to Cape May. Her career has spanned restaurant operations, local agriculture, events, and marketing, giving her a unique perspective on creating experiences that bring people together.
As a graduate of Rutgers University with a B.S. in Public Health, Liz also brings a passion for wellness, food safety, and thoughtful food choices to the EAT concept.
EAT is the culmination of those experiences—a place where global inspiration, fresh food, wellness, and a sense of adventure come together, with a menu that encourages you to try something new.
Meet Rick Rutherford - Executive Chef
For Rick, food has been a lifelong career. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, he has spent nearly two decades building his culinary career from Paris to San Francisco and ultimately back home in Cape May.
With nearly two decades of restaurant leadership, Rick has served as an Executive Chef and General Manager, developing original recipes, menus, and restaurant concepts while leading and training culinary teams.
At EAT, Rick brings together years of culinary experience and a genuine curiosity for food—drawing inspiration from flavors around the world and reimagining them into bold, approachable dishes made to be explored.
Eat Together
Food has always had the power to bring people together—around a table, across cultures, and through generations—creating connection, conversation, and a sense of community through the simple act of sharing a meal.
